Did you know?

The passionfruit is actually a berry and it was used as a traditional remedy to ease anxiety. Passionfruit originated in South America and got its name from Spanish missionaries who saw the flower as a symbol of The Passion of Christ

When are they in season?

With our selected growing regions, we are able to supply you the best possible passionfruit all year round, with the peak of our supply in summer (December – February) and winter (June – August)..

OUR GROWERS

Our family of Aussie growers are located from Cooktown, in Tropical North Queensland, Bundaberg in central Queensland, to the fertile plains of the Tweed Valley in New South Wales. All our growers are small family farms, who share a passion for growing the very best passionfruit.

We have taken the hard work out of picking the perfect passionfruit. Our convenient 6 pack gives you the opportunity to have passionfruit for any meal occassion.

Wrinkly doesn’t mean ripe. We select plump, heavy passionfruit to bring you the very best eating experience.

Keep it in the bag!

With protective skin passionfruit don’t spoil easily but to make them last longer, keep them in their original packaging in the fridge. It stops them dehydrating and will extend their shelf life.

HEALTH & NUTRITION

Get passionate about your gut heath with passionfruit, a good source of fibre. Keep your gut feeling good, and you’ll support your mood. Two passionfruits provide almost one fifth of the daily recommended amount vitamin C required for an energised mind; psychological and nervous system function and energy metabolism. The delightful orange colour of passionfruit pulp is due to the presence of beta-carotene carotenoid that protect the brain from oxidative stress so you can think clearly.

RECIPE IDEAS

Flavour boost

Make everyday meals special! Scoop passionfruit onto cereal, enjoy with yoghurt, add to desserts, or mix it into your banana smoothie to kick start your day. For best flavour and sweetness, we recommend eating your passionfruit at room temp.

Getting' juicy!

Instead of cutting a passionfruit in half, chop the top off and eat it like a boiled egg with a spoon to avoid loosing the juice.

Freeze me

Frozen pulp is an easy way to prolong the life and versatility of your passionfruit. By freezing the pulp in ice cube moulds, you can make a tasty, refreshing and exciting twist to your favourite drink.
